Kyoto Granbell Hotel hanareya

Very spacious room, the photos they put are not camera lens trick - they are as big as you can hardly get in Japan (unless the 5 stars ones). Also spacious bathroom and double basin, very rare. Very new & clean. Big cabinets so we can put our stuff. When we were checking out, it was raining. The staff went to the street to hail a taxi for us, very kind and helpful (they couldn’t get through the phone of taxi companies as all were fully booked). Taxi driver from and to Kyoto Station didn’t have any difficulties in finding the hotel. We liked the neighborhood, felt like we were amongst the locals. 450m down the road, there’s a small local bakery which has good stuff: find it on your map application: Kana Kiyo.

Perfect design and comfort, great location, nice staff

The rooms were a comfortable size as were the beds. Clean and always provided fresh towels, water, etc.
